It has a visual pressure gauge, which improves the convenience and speed of leak detection, and is easy to carry and hang up with you. Please connect the 12V battery for use, too much current will damage the machine.
When you use this MRCARTOOL T100 Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10-15ml oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve.
The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
Fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 15ml each time.
Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
Do not run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.
The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.

Ich habe mir die T100 Rauchmaschine von PLAYOCCAR für etwa 100 € zugelegt, um eine Undichtigkeit an meinem Audi A3 8L aufzuspüren – speziell im Bereich des Ansaugsystems. Nach mehreren Tests mit dem Gerät möchte ich meine Erfahrungen schildern.
Funktionalität:
Das Gerät erfüllt grundsätzlich seinen Zweck. Es erzeugt zuverlässig Rauch, mit dem sich Undichtigkeiten sichtbar machen lassen. In meinem Fall war es möglich, die Undichtigkeit an einem Schlauch im Motorraum meines Audi A3 zu lokalisieren – etwas, das ohne Rauchmaschine nur schwer aufzuspüren gewesen wäre.
Verarbeitung und Bedienung:
Die Bedienung ist an sich einfach, allerdings gab es bei meinem Gerät einige Mängel:
• Der Ein-/Aus-Schalter hatte bei mir keinerlei Funktion. Das Gerät startete sofort, sobald Strom anlag, was eine saubere Handhabung erschwert.
• Zudem ist das mitgelieferte 20ml Test Oil ausgetrocknet, somit musste ich mir erst einmal Babyöl kaufen.
• Die grüne Lampe mit der Aufschrift “Smoke”, die eigentlich anzeigen soll, dass Rauch produziert wird, blieb dauerhaft aus – obwohl das Gerät funktionierte.
Solche Details wirken etwas billig und schmälern den Gesamteindruck. Gerade bei einem Preis von rund 100 € hätte ich mir hier etwas mehr Sorgfalt gewünscht.
Lautstärke:
Das Gerät ist im Betrieb hörbar, aber nicht störend laut. Man merkt, dass es arbeitet, aber es ist definitiv kein “Krawallmacher”. In einer Werkstattumgebung fällt die Geräuschkulisse kaum ins Gewicht.
Fazit:
Die T100 hat bei meinem Audi A3 das gemacht, was sie sollte – Rauch erzeugen und bei der Fehlersuche helfen. Der kaputte Schalter und die nicht funktionierende Statusleuchte sind klare Minuspunkte, aber die Kernfunktion – Rauchproduktion – war gegeben. Für rund 100 € bekommt man hier ein brauchbares Werkzeug für einfache Diagnosen, solange man bereit ist, bei der Verarbeitung Kompromisse einzugehen. Für den gelegentlichen Einsatz im Hobbybereich ist das Gerät durchaus geeignet.
