- Park on flat, set parking brake, cool engine, disconnect battery before starting.
- Open engine cover, find timing marks on crankshaft pulley and camshaft sprocket.
- Attach right tool to crankshaft, secure it and align with timing marks.
- Use tool to rotate camshaft till its marks match those on engine block.
- Double – check alignment of crankshaft and camshaft, adjust if wrong.
- Remove tool carefully, reconnect battery, start engine to check timing.
