Why are specialized Camshaft Removal Tool needed?

Timing System Design:

The F4R/F4Rt engine uses a timing belt (not a chain), requiring strict alignment of the camshaft and crankshaft during replacement.

Maintenance Frequency:

The timing belt needs to be replaced every 60,000-80,000 kilometers, resulting in high tool usage.

Performance Engine (F4Rt):

The turbocharged version has higher timing requirements, requiring precise tooling.

Notes

Differences between engine versions:

The timing tool is universal for both naturally aspirated (F4R) and turbocharged (F4RT), but turbocharged engines require additional phaser inspection.
